The decoration inside the tomb is noticeable. The way some researchers such as Arthur Ephampop, the American well known historian has described Tajmahal as a copy of this monument.

Oljayto ordered to build the monument to transfer the Shiite’s Imams’ bodies to this tomb, but because of Shiite’s clergymen disagreement, it was cancelled. He just transferred some soil from Najaf and made a part called Torbat-Khaneh (the home of soil). The monument is a beautiful mosque and popular for its architecture, design and greatness in the world. The dome is located inside the old city called Soltanieh and the royal citadel. Rooms and booths have been built all around the building on top. Dome is covered by blue tiles and the top of the rooms are designed by colorful bricks and stuccoworks. Around the rooms holly names and the verses of Quran has been written in a nice way. Engravings in the bricks of the wall and colorful ceilings have designed this monument for about 700 years.

The architecture and decoration of the tomb is a turning point of the architecture in its era and created a new architecture separated from the Saljouqie’s time.
